It can be a little stressful when organizing and picking out your outfits for a photo session... and sometimes you just need a little inspiration and helpful tips to get you started...

There's so many fun, little details that go into organizing and styling the perfect photo session. The most important being what you wear. It is so crucial to plan this well! It not only affects the way you look in your photos, but also your mood. When you look good, you feel good. But when you're comfortable, you feel amazing!

DON'T wait until the last minute to start putting your outfits together. I usually try to meet with my clients a week or two before their session so that they have some time to prepare... Like going shopping, getting nails done, or maybe even a fresh cut and color. Putting this off till the last minute can add stress and the best thing to do is go into your photo session totally stress free. (:
here's some more tips...
1. What you wear says a lot about you. Therefore, get creative with it and have some fun.
I always recommend accessorizing and layering. For example, add a cardigan or vest to your outfit as well as a statement necklace and maybe even a cute floppy hat. However, you don't want to overdo it... Your accessories should compliment you... not take away from you. Also, have variety in your outfit choices. Such as cute, casual option and then a dressy option. You can even bring a few options to your shoot like a few necklaces or pairs of shoes and we can decide together what looks the best together!

2. Bring 2-3 outfits that range in style!
Ex. Outfit 1- Dress, sandals or heels, floppy hat
Outfit 2- Pretty blouse paired with jeans or shorts
Outfit 3- boho cardigan, jeans, boots
It is very helpful to think about what outfits you want to wear at what locations so that you can plan accordingly. Sessions usually begin 2 hours before sunset... aka, golden hour!! Think about what outfit you want to wear at sunset. This may help you decide your other outfits a bit easier.

3. Stick with simple neutral or earthy colors- stay away from strong distracting patterns.
